Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Telemetry/IMC Med-Surg position requiring 2 years of experience and TX or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Work in the IMC MedSurgical unit of a hospital setting
- Care for a mix of diagnoses and acuity levels, including respiratory, sepsis, and multiple co-morbidity cases
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Full-time, 12-week assignment
Requirements
- Active RN license in Texas or compact state
- Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a related nursing specialty required
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and family members
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Previous CHRISTUS Health employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment at any CHRISTUS facility
