Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Cardiac Telemetry unit requiring at least 1 year of recent cardiac telemetry or PCU/ICU experience.

Details

• Hospital-based 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit (4 North)
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Unit supported by Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs
• Uses Alaris IV pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, Dinamap monitors, Welch Allyn vital machines, wound vacs, temporary pacemakers, telemetry monitors, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and Doppler devices
• Utilizes Imobile for team communication
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• Full-time schedule with 7A-7P shifts
• Requires 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
• May float to other units based on demonstrated competency

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience required
• Must be able to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
• Experience with post-cardiac procedural care (ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op day 1 open heart, permanent pacemaker placements) required
• Must be able to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
• Experience with IV insertions, NGT placement/maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and foley insertions required
• No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• Two professional references required for Missouri assignments
