Description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an LTAC ICU position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and 1 year of Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) ICU unit setting
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs, limited to competencies already demonstrated
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in an ICU unit
• Minimum 1 year of experience with Epic EMR required
• LTAC experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Skilled in managing ventilated patients, including modes of ventilation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
• Experience with IV therapy, including central lines, arterial lines, and vasopressors
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to complex, medically fragile LTAC ICU patients
• Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and advanced respiratory care
• Administer and titrate medications including antiarrhythmics, vasopressors, insulin drips, and sedation
• Perform wound care, isolation precautions, and infection prevention practices
• Complete pre-assignment testing and required compliance modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
• Attend orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
