Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Critical Care/Echo Cardiac unit requiring cardiac critical care experience and a ND or compact RN license.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting in the Critical Care/Echo Cardiac/Stress Testing unit
• Patients seen at bedside in a 2-room unit
• 1:1 nurse to patient ratio
• Performs Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) and Cardioversions, with stress testing preferred but not required
• Uses EPIC and CUPID charting systems, along with Life Pak defibrillator and Accudose equipment
• Monday through Friday day shift, 8.5 hours per day
• Staff with stress testing experience will rotate through weekend call, averaging one weekend per month plus holidays
• No floating to other units or departments

Requirements

• Active ND or compact RN license required
• Current ACLS and BLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience, cardiac experience preferred
• Comfortable administering conscious sedation and recovering patients post-procedure
• Strong assessment skills and experience with rhythm interpretation
• EPIC EMR experience

Additional Information

• Participate in an average of 8 TEEs and/or Cardioversions per day
• Collaborate closely with charge nurse and providers
• Scan approximately 40 patients daily, running both magnets into the evening
• Brief unit orientation provided
• Required to wear Sanford Navy Blue scrubs
• Holiday coverage required as part of weekend/holiday rotation for stress testing-qualified staff
• Cannot accept candidates living within 60 miles of the facility
• Local travel rate applies for candidates living 60 to 80 miles from the facility
• Returning travelers with previous Sanford Health employment must disclose this for eligibility review
