Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC/ATCN and PALS certification.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Care unit of a hospital environment
- 13-week travel assignment
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Full time position
- Required to work every other weekend
- On-call requirement is voluntary
- Floating required to assist as helping hands during low census periods
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Performs various Point of Care testing procedures
Requirements
- Active New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA
- TNCC or ATCN certification required
- CPI/De-Escalation certification preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
Additional Information
- Coordinate and implement patient care specific to the age of the patient population served
- Perform initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs
- Systematically reassess patients to identify progress and trends requiring intervention
- Develop and implement individualized, measurable plans of care within established time frames
- Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning
- Dress code requires pewter or charcoal grey scrubs
- Candidates must live within 50 miles for local rate eligibility
- Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must be separated for at least 6 months before being eligible for a travel assignment
