Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a freestanding emergency room setting, requiring a Washington state license and at least 1 year of experience.
Details
- CT Tech role within a freestanding emergency room CT unit
- Adult acute care and adult outpatient patient population with emergency department focus
- Patient ratio of 1 CT tech per 16 beds
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- No floating between units required for this specific assignment
- Epic EMR preferred
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required
- ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certification required
- BLS certification required
- Washington state license required if applicable
- Travel experience required
- Skilled in abdomen and pelvis imaging, with and without contrast
- Experience with chest, head, and neck imaging with and without contrast
- Experience with cervical, lumbar, and thoracic spine imaging
- Musculoskeletal trauma imaging experience required
- Preferred experience with brain perfusion and vascular CTA
- Preferred experience with PACS and Siemens equipment
- Proficiency in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Preferred skill in starting peripheral IVs
- 2 references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required for consideration
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing CT imaging studies across abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, neck, and spine regions
- May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All time off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for standard travel rate
- Former employees of the facility may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside the 50-mile radius
- This position may be suitable for first-time travelers
