Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
• May be required to float to other departments based on business need within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for clinical documentation

Requirements

• Active RN license in Colorado (Standard or Compact) required, no pending license accepted
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, and/or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in accordance with accepted practice standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Perform health teaching, counseling, and ongoing evaluation of patient health status
• Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, or supervision
• Review and monitor treatment plans and refer patients for further evaluation as needed
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for this travel assignment
