Description
American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring a CO or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ED experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours weekly)
- May be required to float to other departments based on business need within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic for clinical documentation
Requirements
- Active RN license in Colorado (Standard or Compact) required, no pending license accepted
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start
- ACLS, NRP, and/or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit required
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience preferred
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in accordance with accepted practice standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
- Perform health teaching, counseling, and ongoing evaluation of patient health status
- Provide supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or through consultation, delegation, or supervision
- Review and monitor treatment plans and refer patients for further evaluation as needed
- Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Former Intermountain permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for this travel assignment
