Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN Circulator for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.
Details

- Department includes 15 OR suites, including hybrid and cardiothoracic rooms, along with PACU, sterile supply, pharmacy, and support areas
- 13-week contract assignment
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to22:30 PM
- call responsibilities required 1-2 nights per week and every third weekend
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
- No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
- Proficiency with computer systems and applications or ability to be trained
Additional Information
- Serve as RN Circulator supporting cardiovascular and surgical procedures within the OR
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan and implement individualized care, and coordinate with the inter-professional care team
- Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
- Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members as appropriate
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
- Promote a collaborative, patient-centered environment through effective communication and teamwork
