Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN Circulator for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring an active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• Department includes 15 OR suites, including hybrid and cardiothoracic rooms, along with PACU, sterile supply, pharmacy, and support areas
• 13-week contract assignment
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to22:30 PM
• call responsibilities required 1-2 nights per week and every third weekend

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications or ability to be trained

Additional Information

• Serve as RN Circulator supporting cardiovascular and surgical procedures within the OR
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, plan and implement individualized care, and coordinate with the inter-professional care team
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities along with patient and family education
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members as appropriate
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
• Promote a collaborative, patient-centered environment through effective communication and teamwork
