Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications.
Details
- Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds
- Cath Lab department performing coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, permanent pacemaker insertions, and EP studies
- Daily caseload of 8-12 patients
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirement
- Call requirement applies
- No floating requirement per posting, though travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities
- Epic EMR experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab required
- ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Fluoro Permit required; candidates with a pending permit will be considered if already applied for at time of submission
- License required if applicable
- RCIS accepted with 5+ years of experience (preferred, not required)
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Experience with coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, peripheral vascular procedures, and permanent pacemaker insertion
- Skilled in procedural responsibilities including equipment set up, sterile field maintenance, and accurate monitoring
- First-time travelers accepted
Additional Information
- Perform coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmia procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and pacemaker/AICD insertions
- Facility recognized among America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades and received the American Heart Association's Bronze Get award
- Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
- 30 hours of orientation required
- Local candidates accepted
- 50-mile local radius rule applies for local bill rate eligibility
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travamsler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- RTO must be approved at time of submission; minimal RTO requests recommended to avoid delays
- Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff
