Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT, BLS, ACLS, and Fluoro Permit certifications.

Details

• Acute care hospital with 150 staffed beds
• Cath Lab department performing coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, permanent pacemaker insertions, and EP studies
• Daily caseload of 8-12 patients
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• Call requirement applies
• No floating requirement per posting, though travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cath Lab required
• ARRT (R), BLS, and ACLS certifications required
• Fluoro Permit required; candidates with a pending permit will be considered if already applied for at time of submission
• License required if applicable
• RCIS accepted with 5+ years of experience (preferred, not required)
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, peripheral vascular procedures, and permanent pacemaker insertion
• Skilled in procedural responsibilities including equipment set up, sterile field maintenance, and accurate monitoring
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• Perform coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmia procedures including diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and pacemaker/AICD insertions
• Facility recognized among America's 100 Best Hospitals for Coronary Intervention by Healthgrades and received the American Heart Association's Bronze Get award
• Scrubs provided for Cath Lab staff
• 30 hours of orientation required
• Local candidates accepted
• 50-mile local radius rule applies for local bill rate eligibility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a travamsler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• RTO must be approved at time of submission; minimal RTO requests recommended to avoid delays
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• 2 supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with the facility as a permanent employee, traveler, or per-diem staff
