Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a night shift SCU/Telemetry position requiring 2+ years of experience and a Maine or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in an 8-bed SCU/IMC unit at a community access hospital treating telemetry, med-surg, and critical care patients
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1
• Equipment used includes ventilators, ceiling lifts, Plumb pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, and SCD boots
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Night shift schedule from 5:45 PM to 6:15 AM
• Every other weekend minimum required
• Occasional floating to Med-Surg required, with a 25-mile float policy between facilities as needed
• No on-call requirements for core hours

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or Compact) required upon submission
• Minimum 2 years of experience required, with travel experience preferred
• Vasoactive drip and ventilator experience required
• ICU/SCU experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Two professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide care for telemetry, med-surg, swing, and intermediate care patients in a down-to-earth, team-oriented environment
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility are considered local and are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration
