Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week night shift assignment at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital.
Details
- Trauma acute care hospital setting with 209 total staff beds
- CT Tech unit
- 1:1 patient ratios
- Night shift, alternating between 4x10 and 3x10 hour shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 7 on/7 off block schedule starting Thursday evening and ending Wednesday morning
- Every other weekend required
- No floating between units required
- No on-call required
- Uses Epic EMR
- Uses PACS and Siemens equipment
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
- ARRT (CT), ARRT (R), and BLS certifications required
- Epic experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
- Experience with 3D rendering, ROI measurement, abdomen/pelvis imaging, colorectal and enterography studies
- Experience with head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and chest CT imaging
- Skills in contrast media preparation/administration, radiation safety, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Peripheral IV starts preferred
- First-time travelers considered only with 5+ years of experience
- Active compact state license required at time of consideration, if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform a variety of CT imaging procedures including abdominal, pelvic, head, neck, spine, musculoskeletal, and chest studies
- May perform special procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, drainage, and coronary CTA depending on facility need
- Scrubs of any color permitted; scrubs provided in sterile units such as OR/ICU/ER/COVID
- No parking fees at this facility
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
- Two supervisory references required, covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
