Description

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT MR certification for a night shift assignment.

• Works in the MRI department performing MRI and X-ray procedures
• X-ray procedures include extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, musculoskeletal, and upper/lower extremities
• Adult acute care and adult outpatient work settings, including ER/Trauma patients
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Siemens MRI equipment
• Epic charting system preferred

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required
• BLS and ARRT MR certification required
• Washington state license required if applicable
• Compact license must be active and in hand at time of submission
• ER experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skills in abdomen/pelvis imaging, female/male pelvis, abdominal MRA
• Skills in head/neck, brain, cranial nerve, and face/soft tissue neck imaging
• Skills in chest, breast, and myocardium imaging
• Skills in spine imaging including cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sacrum/coccyx, and spinal trauma
• Skills in musculoskeletal imaging including foot, hand, hip/bony pelvis, knee, shoulder, sternum, TMJ, and long bones
• Proficiency in isolation precautions/PPE, contrast media preparation and administration, radiation safety, and peripheral IV starts
• Experience with MR cardiac imaging with/without contrast preferred
• Pending license accepted

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered
• All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application
• Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required, may include Charge RNs/Leads
• Candidates must disclose any prior employment at a Providence facility, including dates and location
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel contract
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
