Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical unit position requiring a PA or Compact license and Cerner charting experience.

Details

• Hospital setting within a Medical Surgical unit
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Night shift (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) or Day shift (3x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) schedules available
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Community hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Backfill position covering a current staff member's absence
• Care for patients with medical surgical, orthopedic, plastics, endocrine, and neurological/psychiatric conditions
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line management
• Manage respiratory needs including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
• Provide gastrointestinal care including ostomy and feeding tube management
• Administer medications including heparin, insulin, and PCA
• Utilize isolation precautions, PPE, and wound care/wound vac skills
• Participate in cardiac monitoring and emergency response including Rapid Response/Code teams
• Every other holiday coverage required
• Local candidates accepted at the travel rate
• Former permanent employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers
• Travel pairs accepted based on facility need, though the same schedule cannot be guaranteed
