Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a high-volume, comprehensive stroke and Level I Trauma hospital, requiring ARRT Advanced Certification and Florida licensure.

• hospital-based CT department with 3 rooms
• 600-bed short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Comprehensive stroke center performing all neurosurgery on-site
• High acuity, geriatric patient population
• Case types include neuro, perfusions, TAVR, CTA, lung/kidney biopsies, cryoablations, drainages, chest tubes, and venous mapping
• Cerner EMR used for charting
• GE and Siemens CT equipment utilized
• Day shift schedule, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• No floating to sister facilities required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience required
• BLS, ARRT, and ARRT Advanced Certification required
• Florida license or compact license required at time of submission; license required if applicable
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Experience with GE and Siemens CT equipment required
• PACS, contrast administration, and biopsy skills required
• Experience in outpatient, inpatient, ER, and adult ICU work settings required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted

Additional Information

• Perform a wide range of CT procedures including neuro imaging, perfusions, TAVR, CTA, biopsies, cryoablations, and drainages
• Facility is a smoke-free environment
• Scrub colors required: Navy Blue, Burgundy, or Khaki
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates are accepted
• Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel eligibility
• May float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• No RTO allowed in contract; any time-off needs may be discussed during the interview process
• Former Baycare permanent employees must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Weekend requirements to be discussed during interview if applicable
