Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Orthopedics Physical Therapist with 1+ years of experience and current Maryland PT licensure for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Outpatient orthopedic clinic setting
- Caseload includes post-operative orthopedic patients, total joint replacements, neck and back pain, spine rehabilitation, manual therapy patients, sports injuries, and general musculoskeletal conditions
- Monday-Friday schedule with clinic hours 7am-7pm
- Typical schedule includes 2 late shifts (10:30am-7pm) and 2 early shifts (7am-3:30pm) per week
- Clinic closes at 5pm on Fridays
- Schedule may also include 8:30am-5pm shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapy program
- Maryland Physical Therapy license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
- Outpatient orthopedic experience preferred
- Manual therapy experience preferred
Additional Information
- Evaluate and treat orthopedic patients with individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Deliver one-on-one patient care utilizing manual therapy techniques when appropriate
- Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
- Document patient care using EMR
- Collaborate with an experienced rehabilitation team
- Participate in community outreach and wellness initiatives
