Description

American Traveler is hiring an ED RN for a night shift, every-other-weekend 36-hour position requiring 2+ years of Emergency Department nursing experience and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Work in a 65-bed, pod-based Emergency Department with a separate pediatric pod and separate Acute Mental Health area
• Serves all patient populations with an average census of 230 visits per day
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift schedule of 19:00-07:30 with every other weekend required
• 36 hours per week over a 13-week assignment
• Floating required
• Rotating shifts required for Day Rotate positions (7a-7p, 11a-11p, 7p-7a) when requested, though the Night position does not rotate
• Uses EPIC (ASAP module) for charting

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required, NURSYS and BON primary source verification needed, no conditional licenses accepted
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP and TNCC certifications strongly preferred
• Proficient in general ED nursing skills including assessment, documentation, IV insertion, phlebotomy, EKG, cardiac monitoring, point of care testing, splinting, critical thinking, and patient education
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed

• Provide emergency nursing care across a diverse patient population including pediatric and acute mental health cases
