Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of hospital experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 4-room OR suite within a hospital surgical department
• Unit staffed by 5 RNs and 6 surgical techs, including 4 first assists
• Performs procedures including robotic, orthopedic, ENT, GYN, general, bariatric, and podiatry surgeries
• Typical procedures include robotic prostate and hysterectomy surgeries, all orthopedic procedures (shoulders, knees, hips, trauma), laparoscopic/robotic/open GYN surgeries, general surgery, ENT, podiatry, and spine procedures (fusions, laminectomies, ACDF)
• Uses Meditech EMR system
• Day shift scheduled 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Night coverage provided through on-call rotation Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend rotation required approximately every 5-6 weekends
• On-call requirement of one night per week
• Floating to Endoscopy required when needed

Requirements

• Active NH state RN license or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based experience required
• Recent OR experience required
• Scrub procedure experience preferred
• CNOR certification preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration

• Unit recognized as a Unit of Distinction in 2019 with strong CNOR certification presence (3+ years)
• Joint Commission certified for both knee and hip procedures
• Grey scrubs supplied and laundered daily by the hospital
• Ideal candidates are flexible with a positive, adaptable attitude
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
