Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (CT) certification for a Level II trauma acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting within a Level II trauma center
• Unit: CT Tech (Computed Tomography)
• Night shift schedule, 10-hour shifts
• Shift pattern includes Thu/Fri 9p-7a and Sat/Sun 8:30p-7a overnight shifts
• 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Rotating weekend coverage required
• Uses GE VCT and Evo/Evolution CT scanner equipment
• Charting/EMR system is MEDITECH

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist required
• 3-5 years of experience preferred
• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Massachusetts state license required if applicable
• Graduate of an AMA-approved educational program in Radiological Technology
• Experience with GE VCT and Evo/Evolution scanners preferred
• Proficiency with PACS, Med Rad injector, VRC, and Powerscribe systems

Additional Information

• Follow hospital protocols for exam routines to produce quality studies efficiently
• Operate CT equipment including warming up scanner, running QA, and managing pressure injector, PACS, and MEDITECH systems
• Adjust and manipulate images to required specifications including windowing, contrast, and algorithm settings
• Create reformatted images and separate exams by accession
• Ensure all scans are properly identified with accurate patient and procedure information
• Complete administrative tasks including tech editing, patient escort, and room preparation
• Report wet reading findings to physicians, Emergency Department, and nursing units as needed
• Access RadPortal and restore prior exams for radiologist review when necessary
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of work areas and control rooms
