Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Level II trauma center in Asheville, NC.
Details
- Work within the Respiratory Services department at a large acute care hospital
- Provide care across adult, NICU, and pediatric service lines
- Patient ratios range from 10 to 25
- Utilizes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilators, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
- Cerner EMR system used
- Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Varying weekend requirement of at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Floating required to all Critical Care units and floors
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active North Carolina Respiratory License required if applicable
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required (CRTs will not be considered)
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- NRP certification preferred
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory care services across critical care and specialty units including NICU and pediatric populations
- Work as part of a large respiratory therapy team with 120 total staff members
- Scrub color requirement is medium gray/pewter
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
