Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a Level II trauma center in Asheville, NC.

Details

• Work within the Respiratory Services department at a large acute care hospital
• Provide care across adult, NICU, and pediatric service lines
• Patient ratios range from 10 to 25
• Utilizes GE R860 adult ventilators, Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators, Newport HT70 transport ventilators, V60 non-invasive devices, Vapotherm, and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
• Cerner EMR system used
• Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Varying weekend requirement of at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Floating required to all Critical Care units and floors
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active North Carolina Respiratory License required if applicable
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist certification required (CRTs will not be considered)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• NRP certification preferred
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory care services across critical care and specialty units including NICU and pediatric populations
• Work as part of a large respiratory therapy team with 120 total staff members
• Scrub color requirement is medium gray/pewter
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
