Description
American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years of experience and NMTCB certification for a Level IV Trauma Center in Kenosha, WI.
Details
- Level IV Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center with 80 beds
- Nuclear Medicine department serving inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients
- Patient population includes cardiac, GI, pulmonary, and oncology cases
- Performs PET scans and DAT scans
- Staffing model of 2-3 techs per day, seeing 7-18 patients daily between cardiac and general work
- PET workflow is independent, staffed by 1 tech per day supporting 5 patient slots
- Uses GE 850 equipment, McKesson PACS, and Nuc Trak (experience preferred)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- 8-hour day shift schedule, 40 hours per week, 1st shift
- Potential to float to PET for staffing coverage
- Weekday on-call: 1 shift per week, end of shift until 0600 the following morning
- Weekend on-call rotation: 1 weekend every 4th weekend, end of shift Friday until Monday at 0600
- Holiday call expectation of 1 holiday per contract term
- 12-hour orientation to learn department flow
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience required
- BLS and NMTCB certification required
- Active license required if applicable
- Experience with cardiac, GI, pulmonary, and oncology patient populations
- Ability to start IVs
- Experience with GE equipment (any model) and SPECT CT
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Supported by a department supervisor and other Nuclear Medicine Technologists on the unit
- Manager approval required for all requested time off
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
- Any scrub color permitted
- Free parking available
- Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must be separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
