Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level 1 Trauma ER RN with at least 1 year of experience and PA or compact RN licensure for a Rapid Response travel assignment.

• Works in a 40-bed Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center
• Treats all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric cases
• Maintains a 1:6 patient ratio
• Uses EPIC EHR system
• Varied shift schedule including days, nights, and mid shifts
• Weekend work required every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS and PALS required; CEN preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Trauma and critical care experience preferred
• Basic nursing skills required
• Must be willing and able to work all shift times including days, nights, and mids
• PA-specific clearances required, including Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI/Department of Aging Fingerprinting, and PATCH (PA State Police) Clearance
• Drug screening within 90 days required with no declinations
• No declinations for MMR or TB required
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care as part of a team-oriented Rapid Response unit
• Facility is a tertiary care regional referral hospital and the most technologically advanced hospital between Pittsburgh and Hershey, PA
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable
• Candidates must be able to start within 7-10 days with no requested time off during the assignment
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate; otherwise local rate applies
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
• First-time travelers may be considered
