Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment in a Cardiac Cath Lab.

Details

  • 200-bed specialty care hospital with a dedicated Heart & Vascular Institute
  • Works in the Cardiac Cath Lab / Cardiac Imaging department
  • Level 2 trauma center
  • Adult and geriatric patient population
  • Common diagnoses include STEMI, NSTEMI, and heart disease
  • Utilizes a full Cath Lab Suite for procedures
  • Charting is done in Merge Hemo and Cerner EHR systems
  • Variable shift start times of 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM, working 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Every other weekend on-call coverage required
  • Call requirements include reporting within 30 minutes of being called in, with frequency depending on team size

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of Cath Lab Technologist experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • RCIS certification accepted in lieu of other credentials
  • License required if applicable
  • Experience with general cath lab procedures preferred, including angiography, angioplasty, arterial line insertion, coronary angioplasty, CTO, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, intravascular ultrasound, stent placement, thrombolysis, venography, and wave wire techniques
  • Familiarity with hemodynamic calculations and right/left heart catheterization preferred
  • Experience with structural heart and vascular interventional procedures preferred, including contrast administration and peripheral, thoracic, and PE emergency procedures
  • EP studies experience preferred; training available if needed
  • Comfortable working with adult and geriatric patient populations
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Facility offers bi-weekly orientation
  • Perform a wide range of cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures under physician direction
  • Support structural heart and EP procedures as part of a collaborative care team
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be eligible for the travel assignment rate
  • Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
  • Candidates must not be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis
