Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT(R) or RCIS certification for a cardiac catheterization lab role.

Details

  • Work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab, with potential exposure to EP lab and hybrid OR settings
  • Perform cardiac, vascular, and interventional radiology procedures
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
  • One weeknight call per week and one weekend call per month
  • Must be willing to float within the health system as operationally necessary, including occasional floating to another facility campus
  • Epic EMR experience required, with at least 1 year of experience preferred

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience required
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • ARRT(R) or RCIS certification required
  • Oregon license required if applicable
  • Washington state license application required, with active license processing potentially delaying start date by up to 8 weeks
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Experience with vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, and sterile technique
  • Skilled in equipment set up, room circulating, and scrubbing for procedures
  • Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, EKG lead placement, vascular access, and maintaining sterile fields during procedures
  • May assist with structural heart procedures such as TAVR and Watchman, as well as EP studies and pacemaker insertions
  • Orientation held weekly on Mondays
  • First-time travelers will be considered
  • Local candidates are not accepted; must reside 60+ miles from the facility
  • Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Up to 3 RTO days approved for auto-offer positions and up to 7 RTO days for regular offers, with all time off requests disclosed prior to contract signing
  • No additional RTO approved after contract signing
