Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a STEMI and Primary Stroke Center requiring KY or compact RN licensure.

Details

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department with 44 private beds treating 160+ patients daily
• Manages medical, trauma, cardiac, stroke, and psychiatric cases
• Designated STEMI and Primary Stroke Center
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week (0.9 FTE)

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety devices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with interdisciplinary care team

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination across the nursing process
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including discharge teaching and coordination with Case Management
• Deliver patient and family-centered education tailored to age, culture, and developmental level
• Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Promote a positive, healing environment through evidence-based nursing practice
