Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of ER experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital environment
• Rotating night shifts (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 18:00-6:30) on a 36s/48s schedule
• Weekend shifts required
• Mandatory floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital in accordance with client policies and Joint Commission standards, particularly for closed departments
• Uses Cerner EMR, required for all travelers

Requirements

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (ENPC and NRP preferred)
• Minimum 3+ years of ER experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Skilled in respiratory care, triage, and care of ventilated patients
• Telemetry and conscious sedation experience preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care across a range of patient acuities including triage, respiratory care, and ventilated patients
• Must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• RTO must be submitted with the initial application and, if approved, included in the confirmation document, with minimal time off requested during the assignment
• Some holiday coverage should be expected
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Previous travelers are welcome to reapply, though former permanent staff must obtain facility approval before returning as travelers
