Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient orthopedic setting requiring 1+ year of outpatient experience.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy clinic setting
• Focus on outpatient orthopedic patient population
• Treat more than one patient at a time
• Productivity expectations of approximately 60 visits per 40-hour work week
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an outpatient setting
• Current BLS certification required
• State license required if applicable, with proof of pending licensure accepted before start date
• Experience treating orthopedic conditions such as low back pain, cervicalgia, and post-op joint or spinal surgery
• Familiarity with any electronic charting system required
• Comfortable managing multiple patients simultaneously

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients per physician referral or direct access
• Supervise physical therapy assistants and technicians in carrying out plans of care
• Perform specialized testing such as WorkSTEPS, APET, Work Hardening Evaluations, and Functional Capacity Evaluations
• Conduct ergonomic evaluations and job analyses as needed
• Maintain regular communication with referring physicians and rehab nurses regarding patient progress
• Utilize modalities and exercise equipment available at the clinic
• Provide home exercise programs and patient/family education
• Open to first-time travelers
