Description
American Traveler is hiring a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 18 months of experience and current ARRT and BLS certification for a short-term acute care hospital setting.
Details
- Work in a short-term acute care hospital with 194 staffed beds
- Adult acute care, adult outpatient, pediatric outpatient, and bedside/portable procedure settings
- Perform imaging on inpatients, outpatients, and ER patients including OR cases
- Procedures include routine x-ray, portables, surgery, and fluoroscopy
- Imaging areas include abdomen/GI, chest, spine, pelvis, upper and lower extremities, head, and skull
- Uses PACS and C-Arm equipment
- Cerner charting system required
- 3x12 hour day shifts from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating every 4th weekend
- On-call required, 3 shifts per month
- Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 months of experience required
- Current ARRT and BLS certification required
- License required if applicable
- In-state or compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- Cerner charting experience required
- Proficient in routine x-ray, portables, surgery, and fluoroscopy
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Ability to work with patient populations from pediatric through geriatric
- Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positioning for patients unable to accommodate routine positioning
- 2 supervisor references required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis in a timely manner
- Follow physician instructions, prepare and operate equipment, and position patients correctly for diagnostic imaging
- Scrubs provided

- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Local candidates are accepted
- Indiana residents are considered local
- Any current or former IU Health perm or PRN employee must be separated for 12 months before applying as a traveler
