Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT CT certification for a fast-paced oncology hospital CT department performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Details
- Oncology-based hospital setting within the CT Tech department
- Fast-paced CT department specializing in diagnostic and interventional CT procedures
- Two Siemens CT scanners equipped with interventional packages
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Rotating after-hours and weekend call required approximately every 5 weeks
- Uses Epic for charting/documentation
- Uses PACS system
Requirements
- ARRT CT certification required
- BLS certification required
- ARRT R certification preferred
- GA state license required if applicable
- Experience with adult acute care, adult outpatient, and ICU patient populations
- Proficiency in CT scans of abdomen, pelvis, chest, head, sinuses, and soft tissue neck with and/or without contrast
- Experience with vascular chest imaging (CTA, PE, aorta), carotid, cervical, lumbar, and thoracic studies
- Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
- Experience with aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, and drainage procedures
- Knowledge of radiation safety protocols
- Emergency Department experience preferred
- Experience with colorectal studies (rectal contrast) preferred
- Cardiac CT experience (calcium scoring, coronary angiography) preferred
- Trauma head imaging experience preferred
- Isolation precautions, peripheral IV insertion, and venipuncture skills preferred
- Vascular CTA and musculoskeletal trauma imaging experience preferred
- Experience with various CT interventional procedures preferred
- Epic documentation experience required
Additional Information
- Perform diagnostic and interventional CT procedures including contrast-enhanced imaging across multiple body regions
- Support oncology patient population in a hospital setting
- Participate in rotating after-hours and weekend call rotation
- Scrubs provided
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Locals accepted at local rate within a 75-mile radius
- No restrictive RTO rules
- Travel pairs allowed
- Flu vaccine or signed declination form required during flu season (October-March)
