Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KY or compact RN license, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications, and Epic experience.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department (ED/ER) of a hospital setting
- Night shift, 6:45pm-7:15am
- Every other weekend required per unit schedule
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- Uses Epic EMR system
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of acute care ED RN experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required
Additional Information
- Provide safe, effective patient and family-centered care in a fast-paced ED environment
- Perform patient assessments and reassessments, initiate and revise plans of care, and monitor clinical interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and coordinate patient/family education throughout care and discharge
- Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff, mentor and precept team members, and support quality and safety improvement initiatives
- Participate in a Practice Governance model and comply with regulatory standards
