Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Hemodialysis position requiring 5+ years of hemodialysis experience and Tablo Hemodialysis System proficiency.
Details
- Work in the Hemodialysis unit of a hospital setting
- Unit consists of 3 beds with an average patient ratio of 1:2-3
- Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts from 6:00am to 4:30pm
- Weekends and holidays required as needed
- A hemodialysis tech handles most scheduling and patient assignments
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum of 5 years of hemodialysis RN experience required
- Acute hospital experience required
- Tablo Hemodialysis System experience required
- Medication and telemetry proficiency required, including independent reading of telemetry strips
- Must pass a telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better
- Strong assessment, clinical, organizational, and computer skills required
- Must be able to lift, transfer, and move patients
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English and complete mathematical computations for treatment protocols

- Provide individualized hemodialysis care across all age groups from infant to elderly
- Address specific patient needs related to sensory impairments, substance abuse, language barriers, and potential abuse situations
- Incorporate the facility's commitment to patient rights and its mission, vision, and values into daily nursing practice
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are considered local
