Description
American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist for an outpatient clinic setting, requiring 1+ years of experience and proficiency with Siemens Revelations/Hologic Dimension equipment.
Details
- Outpatient clinic setting within the Mammography department
- Performs a minimum of 20 screening mammograms per day with a daily caseload of 55
- Primary focus on screening mammography with diagnostic exams performed as schedule allows
- Day shift schedule of 5x8 hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- No weekend requirement and no on-call requirement
- May be required to float to sister facilities throughout the Charleston area as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- BLS and ARRT (M) certification required
- SCRQSA (M) certification required
- SC state license required if applicable
- Must be proficient operating Siemens Revelations and Hologic Dimension equipment
- Must be able to perform both screening and diagnostic mammograms
- Knowledge of isolation precautions, PPE, and radiation safety required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing screening and diagnostic mammography exams in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Requires autonomy, effective teamwork, strong communication, a positive attitude, and flexibility
- Scrub color requirement is any shade of pink or dark teal top with black bottoms
- Unit orientation takes place on-site from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a travelers
- Candidates must live within 60 miles of the facility to be considered non-local, though local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
- All employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs June through November with peak activity in August through October
