Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med-Surg position requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS/rhythm interpretation training, and a WA or compact RN license.

Details

• Work on a 16-bed private room Medical-Surgical unit within a Level 3 trauma teaching hospital
• Care for a geriatric and adult patient population
• Patient ratios of 1:4, with 1:3 accommodations for higher acuity patients
• Common diagnoses include ETOH detox, post-PCI, DKA/HHS, cardiac conditions, GI issues, and BIPAP support
• 12-hour day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend shift required, with 2 weekend shifts per 2-week pay period
• On-call responsibilities required
• Floating required
• Uses Paragon (McKesson) EHR system
• No block schedules available

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must have training in ACLS or a rhythm interpretation course
• Minimum 2+ years of Med-Surg RN experience required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Skilled in EKG/cardiac monitoring, respiratory assessment and support, and medication titration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and medication titration for a mixed geriatric and adult population
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
• No designated scrub color, but standard professional attire is required
