Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of ER experience and trauma bedside skills.
Details
- Work in a fast-paced hospital Emergency Department treating all patient types
- Patient population ranges from urgent care and psych to pediatric and critical care/trauma cases
- Must be willing and able to work as the bedside trauma RN in the trauma room
- Trauma ratio of 1:5
- 3x12-hour day shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Cerner EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active RN license in the District of Columbia (no pending licenses accepted)
- Required certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA certifications only)
- Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
- BSN highly desired
- Cerner charting experience required
- Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes
- Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
