Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring Neuro and Ortho/Spine surgical experience with night shift and call requirements.
Details
- Work in the Surgery department (7 OR suites) of a hospital setting
- Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 6-7 CSTs, an orderly, and anesthesia techs; night shift staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CST
- Estimated patient ratio of 1:1
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Performs ortho, neuro, robotics, general, trauma, and urology procedures
- Night shift schedule of 7P-7A on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Call requirement of approximately one day per week and one weekend per month
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room experience required
- Required experience in Neuro and Ortho/Spine surgical cases
- Labor & Delivery only experience is not applicable for this role
- Trauma center and Ortho experience preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide perioperative nursing care across ortho, neuro, robotics, general, trauma, and urology cases
- Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude
- Must change into hospital-provided scrubs each day
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- First-time travelers may be considered for this role
