Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Operating Room position requiring Neuro and Ortho/Spine surgical experience with night shift and call requirements.

Details

• Work in the Surgery department (7 OR suites) of a hospital setting
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 6-7 CSTs, an orderly, and anesthesia techs; night shift staffing includes 1 RN and 1 CST
• Estimated patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Performs ortho, neuro, robotics, general, trauma, and urology procedures
• Night shift schedule of 7P-7A on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• Call requirement of approximately one day per week and one weekend per month

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room experience required
• Required experience in Neuro and Ortho/Spine surgical cases
• Labor & Delivery only experience is not applicable for this role
• Trauma center and Ortho experience preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across ortho, neuro, robotics, general, trauma, and urology cases
• Ideal candidates are team players with a positive attitude
• Must change into hospital-provided scrubs each day
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
