Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in a high-risk obstetrical unit, requiring 2+ years of high-risk L&D experience and AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.
Details
- Work in the OB ICU/Labor and Delivery unit of a Women's Hospital setting
- High-risk obstetrical unit with 24 beds
- Patient ratios of 2:1 and 3:1, including OBED triage
- Uses GE fetal monitors
- Documentation systems include Meditech and CPN
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7P-7A
- Weekend rotation required
- Floating required as needed, including ability to float to the antepartum unit within Women's Services
- Call requirements to be discussed during interview
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and Intermediate AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate
- Minimum 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience required
- High-risk obstetrical bedside training required
- Experience circulating in C-sections in the labor and delivery area required
- Experience recovering high acuity patients required
- Experience with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, and post-delivery recovery care required
- No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide bedside nursing care to high-risk obstetrical patients including labor, delivery, and recovery
- Assist with circulating duties during C-section procedures
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
- Standard scrub color and dress code policies apply, including restrictions on nail styles, hair, tattoos, and visible piercings
- Facility follows a company-wide attendance policy
