Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU position requiring 2+ years of hospital experience and an active TX or compact RN license.
Details
- , CVICU, MICU) in a Level III trauma hospital setting
- Assignments made according to patient acuity and staff skills
- Utilizes ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
- Meditech documentation system used for charting
- 13-week assignment with a 7P-7A shift schedule
- Rotating weekend requirement
- No on-call requirements
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required; temporary licenses not accepted
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of hospital experience required
- MICU/MSICU patient experience required
- Meditech EMR experience preferred
- Experience with central line placements, bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, and intubations
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Provide direct patient care in the Medical ICU, performing advanced critical care procedures as needed
- Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
- Clean, neat appearance required including hair, nails, and minimal visible body art or piercings
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- Holiday and attendance requirements follow standard company-wide policy
