Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a NICU position requiring 2+ years of experience and cross-training in OB units.

Details

  • Work in the NICU/OB Gyn Combined unit of a teaching hospital
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment length
  • Every other weekend required
  • May be required to float within a 25-mile radius of the facility
  • Staff cross-trained to help cover both NICU and OB units due to staffing needs

Requirements

  • Active WA or compact RN license required
  • AHA certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Cross-training and experience in both NICU and OB units required
  • Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of submission
  • Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Facility is a teaching hospital located in southeastern Washington's Tri-Cities region
  • Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
  • Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment

Pros

This Cath Lab is only travelers at the moment and has locum doctors on rotation. Some days are very slow but there is also a couple IR doctors who does some easy procedures.

Cons

On call is currently 7 consecutive days on then you get 4 days off before going back on due to number of staff present.
