Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Adult Intensive Care Unit position requiring 2 years of ICU experience and IN or compact RN license.

• , the ICU Medical-Surgical Nursing unit within a hospital setting
• 30-bed unit caring for adult ICU patients
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on acuity
• Cares for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure, substance abuse disorders, endocrine disorders, and psych disorders
• Performs comprehensive assessments and cares for septic and mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring
• Uses Alaris Pumps, Arctic Sun, Prismax, and EV 1000 equipment
• Charts in Epic EMR
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend commitment required (Friday/Saturday nights)
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other inpatient areas required when home unit has low census

Requirements

• Active RN license (IN or Compact) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Strong comprehensive assessment skills required
• Experience caring for septic and mechanically ventilated patients with hemodynamic monitoring required
• CRRT experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• EKG testing required as part of consideration for this position
