Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification for a 26-week hospital assignment.

Details

  • Hospital-based Nuclear Medicine department
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 26-week assignment length
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Performs bone scans, 3-phase, limited, and whole body studies, myocardial exercise/rest procedures, gastric emptying studies, HIDA scans, and PET scans
  • Utilizes GE and Siemens equipment
  • Conducts thyroid studies, uptake scans, and lung ventilation/perfusion scans
  • May be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB and CNMT certification required
  • License required if applicable
  • Valid state license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
  • Skilled in isolation precautions/PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, and storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials
  • Epic charting system experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility or accept a lower bill rate if outside this radius
  • Former employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
  • Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
  • First-time travelers may be considered for this role
