Description
American Traveler is hiring a BSN-prepared RN Case Manager with oncology/surgical experience and Epic charting proficiency for an ambulatory clinic setting.
Details
- Ambulatory clinic setting within an academic medical center, Surgical Services/Women's Services specialty focus
- Case Management/Utilization Review role supporting Breast Cancer Screening and Breast nodule/mass patients
- Majority of caseload involves preop patients preparing for OR procedures
- Patient population includes general hematology/oncology and surgical patients
- Performs simple dressing changes and occasional blood draws
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)
- Uses Epic EMR for charting and data abstraction
Requirements
- BSN required
- Active CA RN license required in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Oncology or surgical oncology experience required
- Care coordination and data abstraction experience required
- Epic EMR experience required, must be reflected in work history
- Teaching hospital, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Two supervisor references required at time of application
Additional Information
- Provides pre- and post-operative education and individualized patient education
- Assists with clinic procedures related to breast cancer screening and surgical oncology care
- Coordinates care for patients transitioning from preop to OR procedures
- No RTO permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract highly preferred
- All RTO must be finalized at submission and cannot be changed once under manager review
- Screenshot confirming RTO required when applying
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
- Previous employees must have a minimum 1-year break in service to return as a traveler
- First-time travelers may be considered pending review of position details
