Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level III Trauma facility requiring at least 3 years of recent ED experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department unit with a 4-recliner flex area
• Level III Trauma center setting
• 13-week assignment with possibility of extension
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Some weekend shifts required
• Holiday coverage required
• Uses PICIS and Soarian Clinicals EMR systems

Requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in ventilator patient care, IV starts, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation administration/monitoring
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Driver's license copy required to verify residence for pay rate determination

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department environment
• Perform triage, ventilator management, IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and procedural sedation administration
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias as part of emergency response
• Minimal to no RTO accepted, especially around holidays
• Candidates residing within 30 miles of the facility will not be considered
• Candidates residing 31-50 miles from the facility will be considered at a reduced local rate
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable orientation modules required prior to start, completed through HealthStream
