Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Critical Care Unit position requiring 2 years of Neuro ICU experience and a compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU) of a large academic hospital
- Care for patients with severe brain injuries, stroke, brain tumors, and post-operative neurosurgical needs
- Rotating 7A/7P shifts on a 36 or 48 hour per week schedule
- Weekend rotation required for 3 of every 6 weekends
- On-call requirement of 2 shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday coverage required as needed
- Floating required to areas of similar skill set including ICU and IMC
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active RN license (Standard or Compact) currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required
- ACLS, Critical Care Certification, and trauma course preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Neuro Critical Care experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience in a comparable facility size (500+ beds) required
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to neurologically complex patients requiring interface between brain and other vital organ systems
- Support post-operative neurosurgical patients including those with stroke, brain tumors, and nerve or muscle diseases
- Orientation is held on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month
- Strong candidates are preferred for this facility
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
