Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with robotics experience for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring a CA RN license and BSN.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule of 4x10 hours from 6:40 AM to 5:10 PM
• Requires up to 2 weekend shifts and 2-4 call shifts every 4 weeks
• Floating required to Miller Children's and Cardiovascular units
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Documentation completed in EPIC
• Handles a wide range of surgical specialties including General, Ortho/Ortho Joint, Neuro, Vascular, Ophthalmology, and ENT
• Robotics experience required, including gynecologic, neurological, and orthopedic robotic surgery

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand
• BSN required
• BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required in a hospital setting (surgery center experience not accepted)
• EPIC charting experience required
• Experience with vascular procedures such as AAA repair, atherectomy, carotid procedures, and EVAR
• Experience with orthopedic procedures including ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, and total joint replacement
• Experience with general surgery procedures such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernia repair
• Experience with ophthalmology procedures including cataract extraction and glaucoma surgery
• Experience with neurological procedures such as craniotomy, laminectomy/discectomy, and spinal fusions
• Experience with ENT procedures including tonsillectomy, mastoidectomy, and endoscopic sinus procedures
• One professional reference required within the past 2 years

• Candidates will float within the hospital based on census needs
• Time off requests must be pre-approved by the manager and submitted at the time of consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Previous permanent staff members are not eligible for this position
• Local candidates are accepted at a lower rate
