Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Rehab Inpatient (IRF) Days position requiring at least 1 year of skilled nursing experience and Epic EMR experience.
Requirements
- Active WI or compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA certifications required)
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or other 24/7 skilled care environment required
- Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred based on patient acuity
- Minimum 13 weeks of Epic EMR experience required
- Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in a 49-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital
- Care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal-cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions
- Facility is accredited by The Joint Commission and CARF for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation and Stroke Specialty programs
- Unit functions similarly to a medical-surgical unit with high patient acuity at times
- Nurses assist CNAs and respond to call lights to support overall patient safety
- Utilize mobility equipment including ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy, Sara Plus, and slide boards, as well as vital sign machines, EKG machines, and blood glucose monitors
- Mandatory 30-minute unpaid break each shift, with two additional 15-minute paid breaks
- Staff must clock out for the full unpaid break period each shift
- Not permitted to stay past shift end time without supervisor approval
- No floating currently required, though floating to a nearby satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future
- On-call responsibilities required
- Holiday rotation coverage required
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be considered
- Local candidates are not accepted
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time
