Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a pediatric acute care setting, requiring ARRT (R)(CT) certification and Siemens equipment experience.
Details
- >Hospital, Level I Trauma, Teaching, Magnet-designated facility with 865 staffed beds
- Works in the Pediatric CT Scan / Radiology-Cardiology unit
- Pediatric patient population, including PICU cases
- Daily caseload ratio of 1.5 patients per tech
- Performs abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine and musculoskeletal CT studies
- Performs special procedures including aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, coronary CTA, drainage, transplant studies, and vascular CTA
- Uses Siemens CT equipment and Sectra imaging system
- Charts in Epic
- Schedule includes Monday-Wednesday 7A-4:30P and Thursday 7A-8:30P (4x10 hour day shifts)
- No on-call requirement
- May be required to float to other buildings within scope, but not to sister facilities
Requirements
- >1+ year of CT Technologist experience preferred
- ARRT (R)(CT) and BLS certification required
- State license required if applicable
- Siemens equipment experience required
- Trauma Level I experience required
- Children's Hospital experience required
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Experience with pediatric patients required
- Skilled in preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
- Proficient in multiplanar reconstruction (MRP) and image post-processing
Additional Information
- >Perform CT imaging independently on a daily basis with a focus on pediatric patients
- Facility is a designated Level I Trauma, Teaching, and Magnet hospital
- Scrub color requirement is teal top with black bottom
- Radiation badge must be supplied by the assigned agency
- First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
- Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
- Radius rule of 60 miles applies for local candidate consideration
- Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- All requested time off must be submitted at time of consideration
- Employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties during hurricane season (June-November)
- One-time $20 parking pass fee applies for nights and weekends
