Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care/Step-Down position requiring 2+ years of recent specialty experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Details
- Work in the Pulmonary/Thoracic Intermediate Care (Step-Down) unit of a hospital setting
- Care for intermediate medical patients including high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery cases
- Manage a variety of patient populations, including patients on RA to BIPAP or Optiflow
- 12-hour night shifts, schedule varies between 7P-7A
- 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours weekly
- 13-week contract assignment
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the specialty required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification preferred
Additional Information
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility as local candidates will not be considered
- Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a non-local traveler
- Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
- RTO must be requested upfront and cannot be requested after an offer is made
