Description

American Traveler is hiring a Level IV NICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active RN or compact license.

• Work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit of a hospital setting
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
• BSN preferred
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide nursing care to NICU patients ranging from simple to complex health conditions
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatment responses
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed based on patient condition
• Administer medications and initiate/monitor IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
• Workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as this facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts
