Description
American Traveler is hiring a Level IV NICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active RN or compact license.
Details
- Work in the Neonatal ICU (NICU) unit of a hospital setting
- Level IV NICU experience required
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active Oklahoma RN license or multistate compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required
- BSN preferred
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to NICU patients ranging from simple to complex health conditions
- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document nursing interventions and treatment responses
- Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Monitor physiological data and intervene as needed based on patient condition
- Administer medications and initiate/monitor IV infusions and blood products
- Communicate care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge
- Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- Workers may extend only once for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon, after which a 6-month separation is required before reapplying
- Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as this facility strictly enforces compliance deadlines and does not allow push starts
