Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level II Trauma Operating Room position requiring 2 years of trauma OR experience and an active NV RN license.
Details
- Level II Trauma OR consisting of 18 operating rooms
- Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatrics
- Common procedures include trauma, neurosurgery (ACDF, spinal fusions, crani-procedures), Da Vinci Xi robotics, urology, vascular, open hearts, general surgery, trauma ortho, pediatrics, minimal plastics and ENT
- Uses Epic for EMR charting
- Schedule consists of 4x10-hour shifts (Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun 0645-1715)
- No call requirements
- 13-week assignment length
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required prior to start
- Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only)
- 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting required
- Pre-op/Recovery RN, PACU, OR, and SDS roles require CMP completed within 1 year of start date
- CMP and CBC with Diff bloodwork required prior to start
- Minimum of one recent 13-week travel assignment within the past year required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric surgical patients through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Coordinate care with other professionals and involve family/caregivers in the care process as appropriate
- Work in a fast-paced, high-volume Level II Trauma Center environment serving a 500-mile radius
- Facility features 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds
- Epic EMR training provided during orientation, or candidates may test out
- Minimum of 2 major holidays coverage required
- Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates are not accepted
- A 13-week break is required for returning travelers after completing a prior contract
- No blocked scheduling allowed
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with initial application and will not be added to the end of the contract
