Description

American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active MA license and at least 3 years of ICU experience.

Details

• Work in the ICU of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• Must be able to work all 7 days due to union facility scheduling policies
• Any call-outs must be made up at the end of the assignment
• EPIC experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license in hand required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required, 5+ years in a Level 1 Trauma facility preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• CCRN, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Skills required: respiratory/thoracic care, ventilated patient care, neurological care, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• ICP monitoring experience preferred
• Must pass a medication exam and a telemetry exam at orientation, each allowing only 1 attempt
• 2 references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to critically ill ICU patients including ventilator management and cardiac monitoring
• Study materials provided during compliance process and prior to first day
• Facility requires completion of pre-start and orientation modules, with additional annual modules
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Candidates must have a 12-month separation from the health system if previously employed there
• Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
• First-time travelers with sufficient ICU experience will be considered
