Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Circulating Operating Room position requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room unit with 3 OR/Endo suites
• Circulating RN duties within the surgical team
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM
• 13-week assignment length
• Call rotation required (sign-up basis)
• Floating required to Madill location for surgery cases
• Holiday coverage required
• Uses Cerner/Surginet EMR system

Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start
• No employment gaps of 90+ days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning patient care in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, ORTs, and other surgical team members according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards
• Responsibilities include ensuring supplies are available, maintaining timeliness of cases, communicating with families, updating physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervising personnel delivering patient care
• Scrubs are provided
• No option for 48 guaranteed hours or blocked scheduling
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local travelers are not accepted
• Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered for this travel position
